Our Brooks Awards winners from 2023-2024!! Each year our campuses give out awards to students who stand out in areas of academics, athletics, community and faith. This is a list of this year’s recipients for our Brooks Campus. Governor General Award The recipient of this award has the highest academic achievement in all subjects for grades 11 and 12. Recipient: Jordynne Lubbers Christian Witness Award Jesus lived among the marginalized of society who often had little formal religious training. Our school revolves around the parables of the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son found in the Gospel of St. Luke where themes of unconditional love, support, acceptance, and forgiveness are exemplified. The recipient of this award lives these virtues. Recipient: Angelina Wall and Kelsey Lubbers Most Improved Awards The recipients of these awards have an increase in academic standing in core subjects from one grade level to the next. They have also shown improvement in their work habits, confidence, attendance, and overall life management skills. Recipient: Justice Appiah Rise Above Award This award recognizes those students who have faced and risen above significant personal and academic challenges with courage, determination, perseverance, and self-discipline. This person recognizes their own value and worth, as well as the value and worth of others, and demonstrates resilience in the face of adversity. Recipient: Jacob Majcan Athletic Award The recipient of this award pursues a healthy, active lifestyle and participates in organized physical activities. Recipient: Sylver Voutier Ambassador for St. Luke’s Our school strives to develop, nurture, and support a group of confident, caring individuals who will go and take the principles that St. Luke’s embodies into the larger community. Nominees are often our greatest advocates and represent St. Luke’s in an especially meaningful way. The recipient of this award is the face of St. Luke’s inside and outside the walls of our school.
