Our CChrist the Redeemer Catholic School DivisionBoard Highlights can be found here!
Today, we were fortunate to have Val Mclellan come to our campus to present to our grade 11 and 12 students on scholarships, college and university applications and career planning. She then spent the day meeting one on one with our graduating students! The students felt the presentation was informative, reassuring and helped them focus. The transition from high school always fills students with plenty of questions and we were blessed to have some time to make game plans in one on one sessions. We are looking to have another session in December with Mrs. McLellan. She has over 20 years experience and unlimited knowledge to share. We are very thankful to have access to such an excellent resource! #futureplanning #whatsnext #leavenotoneheartbehind #lifeatstlukes #lifeafterstlukes
We would like to thank everyone who celebrated Catholic Education Sunday with us yesterday. ⛪️ A special thank you to Mrs. Hartery and Matthew Lohman for presenting at the Brooks parish on our behalf. They shared their gratitude for Catholic Education and the Beauty of Creation in a faith plan. Matthew inspired many people with his passionate and clear message! Well done!! Thank you for supporting Catholic Education and thank you to Matthew for your willingness to share your experience from the student perspective in such an articulate and engaging way! #catholiceducation #praywithus #leavenotoneheartbehind #lifeatstlukes #studentleaders #useyourvoice #gratitude
Here at St. Luke’s we love to fill our down time with a variety of activities!!! We do not have the facilities for the options that bigger schools have, but we know the gift of learning a variety of techniques, skills, and creative pursuits!! Our Okotoks campus has been having fun learning a little about cross-stitching in Craft Club!! We appreciate these students and their willingness to try something new, as well as their commitment to seeing a project through! It’s been fun!!! Girania, Gage, Lincoln, Josiah, Cole, Zoe and Mike are naturals! We can’t wait to see the finished products!! #skills #creative #social #learn #work #crossstitch #embroidery #students #lifeatstlukes

Our High River campus is taking advantage of this beautiful fall weather by reading their novel study outside in the sunshine! One of the perks of our smaller class sizes and unique location in High River is the ability to walk across the street to George Lane Park for a deep dive into Elie Wiesel’s powerful memoir, Night. Sunshine, fall leaves, picnic tables and an incredible book! Now that is our idea of a great class!!! #english #read #night #eliewiesel #novelstudy #education #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind
Bishop McGrattan has called a fast in the Diocese of Calgary to occur on Tuesday, October 17. This is in response to the global request of the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Pierbattista Cardinal Pizzaballa. The call is for a day of fasting, abstinence, and prayer; in particular, to pray the Rosary in request of the intercession of the Mother of God for the gift of peace.
This October's Newsletter is full of IMPORTANT DATES!!! Please read it and add those dates to your favourite family calendar!!! Happy October!! We are so grateful that you chose St. Luke's!!! "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." Thessalonians 5:11
The CTR Board of Trustees Highlights are here for your reading pleasure!!!
Our students in Brooks finished the week with another afternoon of volunteer work at the future site our city’s dog park site. It’s a few weeks into the project and visible work has been completed. It’s great to work along side local tradesmen to make this plan a reality. There are so many lessons for our students but the appreciation for our future park is very exciting! #leavenotoneheartbehind #dogpark #conmunityservice #lifeatstlukes #weareallinthistogether
We are excited for our first Feature Student Friday of the year! Caylie Simon is one of our students here at St. Luke’s, but she wanted to try out for the volleyball team at @holytrinityacademy.ctr and she made the HTA senior girls volleyball team!!! This was at their game vs Foothills Composite and they won the match! we asked Caylie why should she chose St. Luke’s? She says, “ I decided to come to St. Luke’s, because I wanted an environment with a friendly, understanding, and flexible staff, but to still be able to get the right education to be able to continue on to my future career.” We are so grateful that Caylie chose us, and we are also incredibly grateful for the staff and coaches at @holytrinityacademy.ctr for giving her this unique and special opportunity! This division is filled with schools that simply care about kids! HTA and St. Luke’s make a great team! #leavenotoneheartbehind #lifeatstlukes #studentathlete #teamworkmakesthedreamwork
It was all smiles for our first pancake breakfast of the year in High River! We are officially one month into this year and we feel that needs to be celebrated! September brought a lot of new students to us here in high River, and with that we have new friendships, new classes, a new goals! We might have to make breakfast club monthly thing around here because it was a great way to start the day and celebrate the hard work of our students! We are grateful for each and every of our students and we are so grateful that they came to St. Luke’s! #lifestlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #breakfastclub #bananapancakes #grateful
Our Okotoks campus also shared in a Thanksgiving feast today! Getting a head start on a weekend filled with gratitude is never a bad idea! It is always a joy to break bread together and give thanks for all the gifts we get to share! “If the only prayer you ever said was one of thanks, that would be enough.” #thanks #thankful #grateful #blessed #leavenotoneheartbehind #lifeatstlukes #eatpraylove
