Team work makes the dream work! Yesterday, our Brooks campus had a little fun, and also learned the power of teamwork and coordination! What looks like a simple drawing challenge brought a lot of laughter and a few lessons . Students had to work in a group to draw a happy face with each student holding on to tape attached to the marker. There was lots of laughter, communicating, and planning. It was a fun way to bond as a community, and take break from traditional studies! What a fun experience!! #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind
In Flanders Fields BY JOHN MCCRAE “In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.” Today, we remember the fallen. #lestweforget🇨🇦 #remember #thankyouthankyouthankyou
Students at our Okotoks campus had the opportunity to visit @holytrinityacademy.ctr for the university fair! It was a very inspiring and successful experience!! Students chatted with representatives from @concordiauniversity of Edmonton, @sait in Calgary, @lakelandcollege and members of the Canadian Military. This visit was like a light shining on the bright futures ahead for our students! Thank you to HTA for welcoming us! Today, we were fortunate to have Val Mclellan come to our campus to present to our grade 11 and 12 students on scholarships, college and university applications and career planning. She then spent the day meeting one on one with our graduating students! The students felt the presentation was informative, reassuring and helped them focus. The transition from high school always fills students with plenty of questions and we were blessed to have some time to make game plans in one on one sessions. We are looking to have another session in December with Mrs. McLellan. She has over 20 years experience and unlimited knowledge to share. We are very thankful to have access to such an excellent resource! #futureplanning #whatsnext #leavenotoneheartbehind #lifeatstlukes #lifeafterstlukes

Our Okotoks campus has been having fun learning a little about cross-stitching in Craft Club!! We appreciate these students and their willingness to try something new, as well as their commitment to seeing a project through! It’s been fun!!! Girania, Gage, Lincoln, Josiah, Cole, Zoe and Mike are naturals! We can’t wait to see the finished products!! #skills #creative #social #learn #work #crossstitch #embroidery #students #lifeatstlukes

Our High River campus is taking advantage of this beautiful fall weather by reading their novel study outside in the sunshine! One of the perks of our smaller class sizes and unique location in High River is the ability to walk across the street to George Lane Park for a deep dive into Elie Wiesel’s powerful memoir, Night. Sunshine, fall leaves, picnic tables and an incredible book! Now that is our idea of a great class!!! #english #read #night #eliewiesel #novelstudy #education #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind
Bishop McGrattan has called a fast in the Diocese of Calgary to occur on Tuesday, October 17. This is in response to the global request of the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, Pierbattista Cardinal Pizzaballa. The call is for a day of fasting, abstinence, and prayer; in particular, to pray the Rosary in request of the intercession of the Mother of God for the gift of peace.
