“God brings men into deep waters not to drown them, but to cleanse them.” John H. Aughey St.Luke’s staff and students would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to one of our students and his family. Jack and his 3 siblings, along with their parents, celebrated the Holy Sacrament of Baptism this past weekend. This public confession of faith is a beautiful thing to witness and a powerful, transformative experience. We pray for many blessings for Jack and his entire family as they take this sacred step in their faith journey. Congratulations!! “Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, ‘You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.’” - Luke 3:21-22 #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #faithhopeandlove #baptism #holysacrament #blessings #congratulations
Sometimes we need to take a break from Math to take a selfie! Selah and Jade are “awesome kids” according to Mrs. Woehleke! Math can be hard, but when we tackle it together, it can also be fun! Not as fun as taking selfies in class, but fun! 🫶🏻 #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #math #selfietime
Spring has sprung! Our Okot students took a little time to express their creativity and get a little fresh air today! Sidewalk spreading some peace and love! Our Brooks campus was blessed on this Maundy Thursday with a visit from some baby goats! These are 4 day old goats, and they are truly the most adorable things ever! 2 of the triplet girls and the triplet boys were at home getting stronger!! What a great way to kick off for Easter ! Wishing everyone all the blessings of this sacred season! We have so much to be grateful for. #lifeatstlukes #goats #leavenotoneheartbehind #easter
Fun Fact Friday… Did you know St. Luke’s celebrates graduation? 👨🏼🎓 👩🏻🎓We do! One of the first questions we get asked when new students enrol here is, “Do you have a “real” grad?” The answer is yes, and it is beautiful! Graduates from all three campuses gather in Okotoks at Saint James Church, ⛪️ where we celebrate each student and their unique gifts as they walk the stage! It is a day dedicated to honouring all the obstacles they have overcome to achieve this important milestone! Last year we had over 60 graduates!! There is a professional photographer, 📷 caps, 🎓gowns 👨🎓 and an optional dinner 🍽️ to follow! St. Luke’s graduation is an emotional day filled with celebration and joy! 🥳🫶🏻💖 Check out our highlights for a few photos from past graduation celebrations! #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #hope #graduation #celebration #okotoks #brooksalberta #highriveralberta #alternativeeducation #traditionalgraduation
This week let’s tour our High River Campus! St. Luke’s High River is proud to work with Grade 10-12 students in the area that are ready to meet their goals and complete the requirements for their High School diploma! We are located in the basement of the Highwood Memorial Centre and the space is perfect for what we do! Students come here for live instruction classes and we offer support for students that choose to take online courses! We offer all ranges of core classes and a variety of options! We are blessed to work and study in such a supportive environment! #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #highriver #campustour
Our grade 12 students in Brooks held a very successful bottle drive yesterday to raise money for our upcoming graduation celebrations. With the generosity and support of our community they filled 9 full trucks and two full trailers. The parents and students worked hard and the day turned out awesome! Thank you to everyone who donated their bottles . Thank you to the parents and students who gave their time and hard work! We are so grateful and proud!!! #gradfundraiser #bottledrive #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #graduation #teamwork
It’s Fun Fact Friday again!! Did you know… St. Luke’s outreach centre welcomes high school athletes in all sports, and we find our alternative atmosphere works particularly well for high school rodeo athletes!! Zoey and her horse “Scotch”, will vouch for us! If you have a child with “Gold Buckle Dreams” in the communities of Okotoks, High River or Brooks, we would love to see if St. Luke’s could be a fit for you !! Call Sabrina @ 403-995-0287 to inquire! #funfact #didyouknow #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #alternativeeducation #youhaveoptions #highschoolrodeo #rodeo #studentathlete #albertahighschoolrodeo #albertarodeo #goldbuckledreams
Students from @stlukesoutreach.ctr High River toured @sprungstructures yesterday! We learned about this local 5th generation family run business, it’s history, manufacturing process as well as the global reach this innovative company has developed! Lynn was a knowledgeable and passionate tour guide and our visit ended with a delicious lunch! What an incredible experience! Thank you Sprung Structures for having us! #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #localbusiness #globalbusiness #innovation #service #creativity

Our High River campus had the honour and privilege of spending some time at Saint Francis DeSales parish with the beloved Fr. Marius! We learned some history, and heard personal stories as we toured church! Fr. Marius is candid and welcoming and he is such a gift to our community!!! Our students learned about the relic in the altar, the reason for each sacrament and some lesser known details about the elements of the church! They also got a glimpse into life in the parish! We are so blessed! #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #lent #church #learning #grateful #blessed
Fun Fact Friday! We can offer small group support! Did you know our smaller classes and unique settings allow us to offer more one on one and small group support? That’s right! Our students can often find one on one help outside of our regular classroom time! Student success is our number one priority and alternative learning has perks!!! #lifeatstlukes #leavenotoneheartbehind #alternativeeducation #student #teacher #teamwork
Come Share In the Beauty of Faith This year, Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools focuses on Encountering Beauty Through Faith & Science; part of our three-year theme, Faith Seeking Understanding. Deepening our Catholic faith, we are exploring its connection to science, reason, and society through the lenses of beauty, truth, and goodness—and we want you to be a part of it. Meaningfully engaging families is part of the new diocesan pastoral renewal, and we hope that you will join us at St. John Paul II Collegiate on March 12 at 7 pm. Come meet our new superintendent, Dr. Andrea Holowka, associate superintendent Pat MacDonald, board chair Andrea Keenan, trustee Andrew Gustafson, and director of Catholic education, Grant Gay. They will share how we are forming our staff and students in the faith, how you can bring our faith theme into your homes, and how you can continue to support publicly funded Catholic education in Alberta. We hope to see you there. #ibelieveincatholiced #faith #hope #love #beautyoffaith #leavenotoneheartbehind #okotoks #learning
