Our campus in Okotoks is taking a short break from regular studies to cheer on our very own Joel Evans as he competes in the 19 & under Tie Down Semi-Finals in Fort Worth, Texas! The Hooey Junior Patriot is a world class event and hosts cowboys and cowgirls from all over North America and Joel is the only Canadian semi-finalist in his category!! He is representing our country, our province and our little St. Luke’s family incredibly well! Show em’ what you got Joel! We are cheering loud! #lifeatstlukes #stlukes #weareoutreach #studentathlete #albertahighschoolrodeo #highschoolrodeo
It’s cold and snowy across Alberta this week, but our schools know that is the best time to buckle down and get to work!! Our students in Brooks are working together to learn and review their Math 10 C. It’s a difficult course, but the commitment and hard work will surely pay off! Teamwork makes the dream work… even if the dream is Math related!! 🧮 Well done, Brooks! Stay warm!! #lifeatstlukes #weareoutreach #leavenotoneheartbehind #studentlife #learningtogether #mathskills #brooksalberta #studentsatwork #workwednesday
Please join us in congratulating and thanking our 2023 recipient of the @ctrcatholic Christian Witness Award, Carol Faye. The Christian Witness Award is presented to a staff member who makes Christ known to the community through their work both in and out of the school. Mrs. Faye is a unwavering example of this to all of us, and both the staff in Okotoks and High River can attest to her commitment to the students and the school, as well as her love for her church community. We have been blessed to work with her since 2009 and she can do it all. Every school needs a Mrs. Faye. Thank you for your service and example, Carol. We love and appreciate you! #lifeatstlukes #weareoutreach #leavenotoneheartbehind #faithhopelove #christianwitnessaward #ctrcatholic #catholiceducation

One of our St. Luke’s family members needs prayers and support, and we hope you will join us in doing both! After she graduated from St. Luke’s in June 2022, Sabrina Glazier had everything to look forward to. She had just graduated and was a D1 member of Alberta High School Rodeo. Sabrina was preparing to head to Texas in the fall where she would be attending South Plains College to study Pre-Vet, as well as rodeo. Her hard work had provided her with multiple scholarships to help in this new endeavor. Everything changed on July 29, 2022 when Sabrina sustained a severe spinal injury while warming up a young horse at home. It is now 2023 and instead of thriving at college, Sabrina is still in the Foothills Hospital. Immediately after the accident doctors were forced to perform a spinal fusion surgery on Sabrina. Since then, Sabrina has remained in a back brace and will need a second spinal surgery before the brace can be removed. There is still a long road to recovery and an undetermined outcome. Sabrina’s family describes her mindset as brave, grateful and faithful. Sabrina is determined and hopes to beat the odds to fulfill her dreams. We are excited to attend and support the Sabrina Glazier Benefit Rodeo to raise money to help provide ongoing assistance for Sabrina’s journey. Please share!!! For information or other ways to support, donate and/or participate go to: https://sabrinaglazierbenefitrodeo.com/ #lifeatstlukes #stlukesoutreach #leavenotoneheartbehind #powerofprayer #healing #prayforsabrina

On this FEATURE STUDENT FRIDAY we want to celebrate the accomplishments of a couple of our “All around” great students from our Okotoks Campus. Over the years we have worked with some incredible young cowboys and cowgirls and this year is no exception! Layton Chamberlain and Joel Evans competed like champions in their recent rodeo seasons, and at one event in August they took the titles of: 🤠All Round Cowgirl 🤠All Round Cowboy … on the same night!! 🎉🎉🎉 They are both a pleasure to work with inside the classroom, and they exhibit amazing talents outside the classroom! We are all so proud of you both, and we are grateful that you chose St. Luke’s Outreach! Congratulations! 🎉 Good luck on the upcoming season to you both and to all of our “Rodeo Kids!” If you are seeking an alternative high school for your young athlete, visit the link in our bio and click “register” to make an inquiry, or call Sabrina at 403-995-0287 to set up a visit! #rodeo #rodeokids #highschoolrodeo #alberta #stlukesoutreach #leavenotoneheartbehind

St. Luke's is a unique learning environment, and we would love to meet you to see if we would be a good fit for your child, and if our St. Luke's family would be a good fit for you. Happy Friday, St. Luke’s family and extended family! Next week is an important one because we are wrapping up semester 1 and crossing our t’s and dotting our i’s, but it’s also important because Wednesday, January 25, is #bellletstalk day! We will spend the week sharing information, resources and having some important conversations!!! Mental health is underfunded and often misunderstood and this year the theme is “Let’s change this.” We can do that if we work together! “God is near to the broken-hearted. He saves those whose spirits are crushed.” Psalm 34:18 #bellletstalkday #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #letschangethis #together #support #services #research #leavenotoneheartbehind #ctrcatholic #stlukes #faithhopelove #heal
