Students from St. Luke's Outreach had the opportunity to attend Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel at St. James Parish in Okotoks. Matthew Lohmann, one of our new grade 9 students spoke after our mass . He shared reflections from our students about why St Luke’s works for them. He shared about how it feels welcoming, hopeful, and non judgmental . He also shared how staff are always willing to sit and help you . Also, he talked about prayer and faith learning each day at 1pm.

St. Luke's Outreach in Okotoks is moving to 23 Riverside Drive! Being a part of the Okotoks Arts and Learning Campus (OALC) will give St. Luke’s students amazing access to the library and Bow Valley College. St. Luke’s facility is one of the few purpose-built outreach schools in the province. Outreach centres, such as St. Luke's are an amazing option for students who don’t thrive in traditional settings, and there are dozens of testimonials of the experience at St. Luke’s transforming student lives. The facility is designed to promote social interaction (large student lounge areas), physical activity (fitness centre), and healthy eating (food preparation area). It is three times larger than the current facility. The 2021 Youth in Philanthropy Program is a wrap! We finished up today with the cheque presentations to 3 local charities chosen by the students of St. Luke's Outreach The students chose to disperse $1400 to Cantara Safe House, $400 to Brooks Animal Protection Society and $200 to Brooks and County Victim Services Unit.

Brooks’ Catholic Schools are celebrating 25 years of Catholic education in their community through interviews and story sharing. Episode 3: GATHERED as Leaders 2002-2014 explores the dozen years following the first graduation at St Joseph’s Collegiate. A significant facility addition completely changed the look and life of the schools. St Luke’s Outreach opened a campus in Brooks and the arrival of English Language Learners from around the world shifted the community’s demographic make-up and enriched the culture and education of the schools.
